Who we are

Ryan McCabe is a school leader, instructional coach, and systems builder who believes that school improvement begins in classrooms and succeeds through clarity.

As a principal in New York City, Ryan has led schools serving diverse student populations with a focus on high expectations, culturally responsive practice, and coherent instructional systems. His work centers on one core belief: strong schools are not built on isolated excellence but on shared definitions of quality and consistent execution.

Over the course of his leadership career, Ryan has:

  • Built instructional leadership teams grounded in daily classroom presence

  • Designed PLC structures that move beyond discussion to lesson improvement

  • Strengthened task rigor while protecting access for multilingual learners and students with disabilities

  • Led data cycles that translate assessment results into immediate instructional action

  • Guided staff through meaningful change while maintaining culture and morale

Ryan’s approach blends practical school leadership experience with research informed frameworks. He is known for helping leaders define what they mean by rigor, align around it, and build systems that make it visible in every classroom.

He works best with principals and leadership teams who are serious about instructional coherence, adult accountability, and sustainable improvement.

At the heart of his work is a simple conviction:
Schools improve when leaders are present, expectations are clear, and systems support strong teaching every day.
